I’ve been using Crowdsec on pfSense since the early version till 1.6.2 and it worked flawlessly. I got alerts quite often via emails and ntfy notifications.
However, since upgrading to 1.6.3-1, my pfSense has broken down. Fresh install pfSense and tried 1.6.3-1 again, it still crashed my pfSense. So I decided to stop installing crowdsec on my pfSense for the time being, and did not try the 1.6.3-2.
Note: when upgrading from 1.6.2 to 1.6.3-1, I didn’t use the new introduced script, but used my usual pkg command to remove old packages and pkg add new packages in sequence as I did on my previous upgrades.
Instead, I installed crowdsec docker container on my Unraid server. Crowdsec has been up and working fine, except I didn’t get any mails/ntfy notifications at all. I did test notifications by cscli notifications test email_default/http_default, and with both tests, I got the test messages. I did try entering wrong passwords on Authelia login screen several times and crowdsec was able to detect and parse it, but no alerts and decisions, thus no blocking.
I also notice that cscli bouncers list produces no bouncer installed, even I installed crowsecurity/iptables remediation. Viewing the crowdsec log when it started up and I found it loaded the crowdsecurity/iptables without error.
Need helps…thanks.
