Hi Crowdsec community,

We would like to inform you about our progress for the [FreeBSD](https://www.freebsd.org) Operating system support of [crowdsec](https://github.com/crowdsecurity/crowdsec) agent.

The upstream package is available and you could now install the agent using `pkg(8)`:

```auto
sudo pkg update
sudo pkg install crowdsec
```

Current architecture target is `amd64` but nothing should prevent you to build from `ports` on others architectures (i386, arm, etc.).

There are multiple things to take care about while running `crowdsec` on a non Linux-based platform and we are working to address them.

In the meantime, if you want to test and report anything feel free to use the following issue [#651](https://github.com/crowdsecurity/crowdsec/issues/651). At the moment, the agent configuration need to be deployed manually.

We are tracking FreeBSD support efforts with the following [GitHub project](https://github.com/orgs/crowdsecurity/projects/2).

Hi Crowdsec community,

We would like to announce you, with the latest versions of [crowdsec agent](https://github.com/crowdsecurity/crowdsec) **1.1.1** and [crowdsec firewall bouncer](https://github.com/crowdsecurity/cs-firewall-bouncer) **0.0.13** , the FreeBSD support has been completed and tested.

The firewall bouncer package is available and you could now install it using _pkg(8)_ as well:

```auto
sudo pkg update
sudo pkg install crowdsec-firewall-bouncer
```

You should be able to deploy crowdsec agent and bouncer firewall on FreeBSD.

You could refer to the online documentation below to getting started on FreeBSD:

- [Install on FreeBSD](https://doc.crowdsec.net/Crowdsec/v1/getting_started/installation/#install-on-freebsd)
- [Crowdsec Firewall tutorial](https://doc.crowdsec.net/Crowdsec/v1/user_tutorial/crowdsec_firewall_on_freebsd)

Thanks to everyone that help to make it happens.

Enjoy!
